Originally from Frome in Somerset, Charlie now studies in London at the Royal Academy of Music where he met his fellow like-minded musicians, gradually establishing and sharing musical bonds before forming his quartet. Each player exudes joy and commitment coupled with a balance of virtuosity and individuality which clearly translates directly to the audience. Charlie already displays a pure and sophisticated trumpet sound and an expressive singing voice which makes this group a bright and welcome addition to the current London jazz scene.
